Jung Chae-yeon shared throwback photos from I.O.I's Music Core debut, noting the late upload and plans to post more gradually.

Jung Chae-yeon (28) posted behind-the-scenes photos from I.O.I's first Music Core debut stage. "This was I.O.I's first Music Core debut stage," she wrote. "Late upload.. I'll upload them slowly."
The photos arrived right after a hectic reunion stretch. I.O.I released their third mini album I.O.I : LOOP in 2026, with Gapjagi ("갑자기") reaching No. 1 on both Melon TOP100 and HOT100. A solo concert followed at Seoul Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium, then an Asia tour.
Chae-yeon was the center and sub-vocal in the eleven-member group. The lineup also included Lim Na-young, Kim Chung-ha, Kim Se-jeong, Joo Kyulkyung, Kim So-hye, Yoo Yeon-jung, Choi Yoo-jung, Kang Mina, Kim Do-yeon, and Jeon Somi.
She debuted in 2015 with DIA on Do It Amazing, then joined I.O.I's first mini album Chrysalis in 2016. Since then, acting has been equally central to her career. Honjul Nam-nyeo (tvN, 2016) came first. She played Yun-hee in the 2018 film Lala. Netflix's Cheotsarangeun Cheoeumiraseo and its sequel followed. She took the lead as Yun Ju-won in JTBC's Josipshik Gajok (2024) and played dual roles—Kang Hyo-min and Kang Hyo-ju—in Esquire: Byeonhosareul Kkumkkuneun Byeonhosadeul (2025).
Awards came steadily. She won Newcomer Award (Actor) at the 2nd Asia Artist Awards in 2017. The Female Newcomer Acting Award followed at the 2018 Grimae Awards. She picked up the Hot Issue Entertainment Award at the 2018 KBS Entertainment Awards and Rising Star of the Year at the 2018 Seoul Web Fest. After Produce 101, she and DIA member Ki Hee-hyun donated roughly 60 million won from their first CF and music revenue settlement to charity.
