KATSEYE's 'Animal' hits Spotify Global Top 10; third EP 'WILD' due August 14

'Animal' entered the Spotify Global Top 10 on release. It peaked at #9 on the Daily Top Songs Global chart on July 24, then settled at #11 on July 25 and #10 on July 26. On the Daily Top Songs USA chart, it hit #4 on July 24.

The group's artist ranking on Spotify Daily Top Artists Global moved just as fast. They sat at #99 on July 23, jumped to #53 the day 'Animal' dropped, and climbed to #43 on July 26 — their best position on that chart to date.

Official Charts ran a dedicated feature on July 24 headlined "Why Animal could turn KATSEYE into the UK's next pop obsession". The outlet called the song's performance "a signal that the K-pop development model has evolved into a new kind of borderless mainstream pop."

The UK chart trajectory backs that up. Since first entering the Official Singles Top 100 in May 2025 with 'Gnarly' at #52, every subsequent release has climbed higher. 'Gabriela' hit #38. 'INTERNET GIRL' reached #24. 'PINKY UP' got to #14. The LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT collab 'ICONIC BY MISTAKE' landed at #22. Even 'Touch', roughly two years old, charted at #82 on a re-entry.

KATSEYE debuted in the United States in 2024 under HYBE's multi-home, multi-genre strategy. At the 2026 American Music Awards, they took three awards including New Artist of the Year. They also picked up two nominations at the 68th Grammy Awards.

'Animal' is the lead single from their third EP WILD, out August 14. Starting in September, the group will tour North America and 10 European countries for THE WILDWORLD Tour — 31 shows total.
