Kim Bo-yoon shares summer cafe outing with friend Avery on Instagram

Kim Bo-yoon shared an Instagram photo on July 28 of herself and a friend sitting in street chairs outside a cafe. The caption tagged her companion twice: as '에이브리랑' and @avery.sohn.

The 23-year-old actress, also credited as Kim Go-eun, started her career in 2011 with an appearance on EBS's TV로 보는 원작동화. Her film debut came in 2013 with 미나 문방구. She landed her first lead role in 2019's 히치하이크, playing Hyo-jeong, and that same year appeared as Kwon Da-hwin in the JTBC drama 열여덟의 순간.

Since then her resume has grown across broadcast and streaming. She played Nam Ju-yeon in SBS's 굿캐스팅 (2020). Netflix brought her Seo Hyo-ryeong in 지금 우리 학교는 (2022) and Kim So-hee in 안나라수마나라 (2022). She was Han Yeo-reum in the film 동감 (2022) and held a fixed cast spot on TVING's variety show 청춘MT (2022). In 2024 she took on Bun-yeong in tvN's historical drama 세작, 매혹된 자들 and played Yu-in in the stage production 첼로와 비빔면, 그리고 검은 우비.

Her most recent film, 가족의 비밀, opened September 10, 2025, with Bo-yoon in the lead as Mina.

Off-screen, she collects perfumes and aroma oils, has been studying Chinese since 2022, and her fandom is called '뽀랑이'. She's frequently cited as close friends with actor Yu In-soo. ENHYPEN's Hee-seung was her elementary and middle school classmate. (Her iced peppermint order apparently made enough of an impression to become part of her public profile.)
