Kim Hee-ra heads to Seoul stage for solo one-woman play 'Fleabag' run through September

Kim Hee-ra is taking on a one-person play. The 36-year-old actress will perform Playback (연극 '플리백') solo at Seoul Doosan Art Center Yeongang Hall from June 19 to September 6, carrying the entire show herself.

On July 27, she posted a casual throwback photo on social media. "앨범에 밀린 사진들 Looking back," the caption read. She sat at an indoor table, fork in hand, wearing a cap. Low-key, but the Playback dates are anything but.

She debuted in 2009 with the musical Jack the Ripper. Her stage résumé includes Anne in multiple seasons of Marie Curie, and Hikaru in Fan Letter across four separate runs: 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2025. She played Frida Kahlo in Frida in both 2023 and 2025.

Screen work runs parallel. She appeared as Gye Hyang-shim in the 2022 drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Lee Sa-ra came next across The Glory Part 1 (2022) and The Glory Part 2 (2023). In 2023 she played Gelly Choi in Remarkable Rumor 2: Counter Punch, then Chun-seo in the 2025 film Savior.

Off-stage, she paints — consistently enough to have held her own exhibitions. Playback runs through early September.
