Kim Jang-hoon and Sung Si-kyung's '나와 같다면' duet hits #1 on YouTube Korea music video chart

The original track comes from Kim Jang-hoon's 1998 album 1998 Ballads For Tears. Sung Si-kyung has been vocal about what it means to him: "'나와 같다면' is one of the 10 Korean ballads I love most. Your voice and the music you have brought mean a lot and give us strength." He called it the kind of song "that makes a man feel catharsis by having a drink and singing at full volume in a noraebang."

Recording it after so long hit him hard. He spoke about an era when songs had melodies and lyrics that good. Kim Jang-hoon, he said, is funny and entertaining but sincere about music and an upright person. Kim Jang-hoon returned the praise, saying he loved Sung Si-kyung's occasional shouting. He joked that he sang the song with a certain word completely removed (a known lyric quirk), then added: "The video can't capture even half of the live stage."

Kim Jang-hoon has been running his nationwide tour concert 원맨쇼 since late last year. It covers roughly 30 cities: Pyeongtaek, Incheon, Daegu, Busan, Jeonju, Uijeongbu, Anyang, Suwon, Hanam, Guri, Yongin, Seongnam, Bucheon, Changwon, Ulsan, Seoul, Jecheon, Chuncheon, and Daejeon. Upcoming stops are Gimhae on June 17, Gwangju on August 1, Daegu on August 29, Jeju on September 27, and Gangneung on October 31.
