Sung Si-kyung appeared on episode 32 of Ha Ji-won's YouTube channel 26학번 지원이요, uploaded on November 5. The two met in Euljiro for the shoot. Ha Ji-won did not go easy on him.

When she asked if he'd ever dated a university classmate, he was quick: "Dating? Absolutely not." The moment she pivoted to older women, he softened. "I can't say I never met an older woman in my entire life."

Under more pressing questions, he admitted the full story. He had a girlfriend before becoming an entertainer, which is why he skipped group meetups and blind dates during his debut years. He was 22 when he debuted, still in school. Attendance was brutal—professors wouldn't let him swap classes for assignments, so he ended up drowning in written reports instead. He called the celebrity life at that age "like a bird in a cage."

Ha Ji-won's "deleted years"

Ha Ji-won debuted at 19 and was just as open. She barely stepped foot in the bars her college peers hung out in and didn't drink alcohol until past thirty. One night stuck with her: she went out alone wanting to order soju, walked around, got scared, and went home without ordering anything.

"It's a deleted section of my life, so YouTube is enjoyable," she said. "I never did the things I could have done back then."

Sung Si-kyung nodded. He called it "a profession where I know how hard it is not to live an ordinary life." Both spent their twenties on set or on stage, not in bars or lecture halls.
