Ha Ji-won, 48, on looking the same as 23 years ago: lemon water and stretching for over a decade

Ha Ji-won, 48, has been drinking lemon water and stretching every day for over 10 years. No plans to stop.

She appeared on Hyeri's YouTube channel on August 28 with co-star Ryu Seung-ryong in an episode titled new 앙탈 권위자의 등장 이제 선배님께 넘겨드릴게요.. I 혤's club ep81 류승룡 하지원. Hyeri, who came up after Ha Ji-won, told her straight: "I grew up watching you on TV. You look exactly the same, so I keep staring at you."

Ha Ji-won kept it simple. "If something feels good for my life, health, or mentally, I do it for a long time." Lemon water: over 10 years. Stretching: also over 10 years. On filming day she spent two hours in the morning on stretching alone. When work piles up, she squeezes in about 15 minutes; when she has breathing room, she goes longer and pays attention to how her body responds. It's closer to meditation than a workout—holding one posture for an extended period rather than cycling through quick reps. "You have to communicate with your body," she said. "If you keep sending signals and communicating, your body listens."

She also talked about reviving 홈런 (Home Run), a song she released 23 years ago, for a music broadcast roughly 8 years after her last stage performance. Five days in a dance studio to prepare. (Still not enough—rehearsal flagged her for not looking directly at the camera.) Once the broadcast date locked in, she woke at 1 AM and 4 AM while sleeping and ran through the choreography in her pajamas, terrified she'd forget. "As soon as I got on stage, my mind suddenly went blank. I was so nervous," she said.

Ha Ji-won debuted in 1996. Her next project is 비광 (Bigwang), a thriller with Ryu Seung-ryong about a top-star couple—Junggu and Nammi—whose marriage falls apart after Junggu's daughter Dongju suddenly appears. Eight years later, they search for the truth to save her from a shocking incident. The film opens September 2.
