Actor Lee Dong-jin and Olympic fencer Kim Ji-yeon announced July 27 that their twins were born July 21, with the delay attributed to pregnancy and delivery complications.
Actor Lee Dong-jin and Olympic gold medalist Kim Ji-yeon had twins on July 21, 2026. Nine years into their marriage, they named the boy-girl pair Lucky and Vicky.
The announcement came July 27 through their SNS accounts. "There were many unexpected big and small things from the pregnancy process to childbirth," they wrote. "That is why we are sharing the good news a bit late."
Both babies and parents are still recovering. "There is still time that requires a bit more care," they noted, though they expressed gratitude for the children's day-by-day growth.
Kim Ji-yeon won gold in women's sabre individual at the 2012 London Olympics—Korea's first Olympic gold in women's fencing. She added a team gold at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. Lee Dong-jin appeared in dramas Swallow the Sun and I Hear Your Voice and currently works as an esports caster. They dated for three years before marrying in October 2017.
