Lee Jung-hyun, 35, is the new storyteller for SUMBAKKOKJIL2. The horror survival show drops July 31 on Mnet Plus and airs August 1 on Mnet.
K-pop artists face a 4,444-second survival game where they must evade an unknown chaser. Lee said the project grabbed him right away: "Working with K-POP artists is a different project so I was very excited."
The casting lands shortly after Lee signed an exclusive contract with E-Plus Entertainment in early July. He's currently filming drama Shinbyeong 4, and the film Shinbyeong The Movie releases this year.
Off-screen, Lee plans to marry a non-celebrity partner in December.
He holds a 4th-degree judo certificate, qualifications as a judo instructor and referee, and certifications in taekwondo and yongmudo.
