Comedian Lee Kyung-sil reveals on her new YouTube channel why she visited Everland with her ex-husband the year after their 2003 divorce.

Lee Kyung-sil spent two decades carrying around a story she'd never fully explained. On July 30, her YouTube channel 우리엄마 이경실 went live with its first episode. In it, she told daughter Son Su-ah why she visited Everland with her ex-husband the year after their 2003 divorce—a trip that made headlines and drew sharp criticism from her own mother.
"An article came out and grandmother got very angry saying 'why did you meet?'" Lee said. "I went thinking of you children."
The two were filming a Danyang trip for the channel when the conversation happened. Lee didn't dwell on the Everland visit itself: "I went once after the divorce. I haven't gone since then."
By the end of the exchange, something shifted. Lee suggested they go back. This time with Son Su-ah's son Lee Hoon. Son Su-ah was in. "That's so good. I liked churros," she said, remembering childhood visits.
The channel is a mother-daughter vlog. It follows their Danyang trip across multiple segments: a market visit, a paragliding session, and a cafe conversation. Lee Kyung-sil debuted in 1987 after winning the gold prize at the 1st MBC Comedy Contest. She currently co-runs the YouTube channel 신여성 with Jo Hye-ryeon and performs in the stage play 사랑해 엄마. Son Su-ah is a 2016 Supermodel competition alumna and working actress with credits in the drama DNA 러버 and films 명당 and 악의 제국. She also appears in 사랑해 엄마 with her mother.
