Melomance's Kim Min-seok drops surprise Busan busking set, previews unreleased title track from '여름집 하'

Kim Min-seok of Melomance showed up at a pojangmacha in Gwangan-ri, Busan on July 9 for a surprise busking. The crowd got an early live performance of the title track from his upcoming album 여름집 하 (下) — a song that hasn't officially dropped yet.

The announcement came through his official SNS just two hours before showtime. He pulled songs from his recent mini-album 여름집 상 (上): "Goodbye (Sayonara)," "은하수 (Eunhasu)," and "여름 편지 (Yeoreum Pyeonji)." His long-running hit "취중고백 (Chwi-jung Gobaek)" was in there too. The unreleased 여름집 하 title track closed the set as the first public preview of the two-part project's second half.

Kim Min-seok toasted with audience members throughout, keeping things intimate and casual. Anyone outside Busan could watch the whole thing on his personal Instagram Live. (A pojangmacha busking with two hours' notice and an unreleased track on the setlist — that's a move.)

Both halves of the 여름집 series are now in motion: the upper volume out, the lower volume coming.
