Kim Min-seok (Melomance) drops 'Cheongchun Ilgi!' and completes 'Summer House' project on Aug 21

Kim Min-seok of Melomance releases 여름집 하(下) (Summer House Part 2) on August 21 across music platforms. It wraps the two-part 여름집 project he started in June with 여름집 상(上).

Three tracks make up the EP: 청춘일기! (Cheongchun Ilgi!), 오버페이스 (Overpace), and 산책 (Walk). A music video teaser for the title track dropped August 19 at midnight. The lyric snippets that came with the teasers sketch out each song's mood. 청춘일기! has "I want to run to you right now and convey even a little of my feelings." 오버페이스 goes darker: "I don't know how to stop. Someone please hold me back" and "If anyone knows, please tell me it's okay to fall."

The timing follows a strong run at awards shows. Kim Min-seok won the main digital music prize at the 37th Golden Disc Awards and Best New Male Actor at the 9th Korean Musical Awards. That second one reflects his pivot into musicals—데스노트, 베르테르, and 하데스타운. His solo work alongside Melomance includes 선물, 취중고백, and 사랑인가 봐.

He's booked a three-night intimate concert right after. 2026 김민석 소극장 콘서트 '성하록 : 여름사이' runs August 28 to 30 at Seoul XSCALA. A tight turnaround for a project this size.
