NCT's Jaehyun drops '99 Degrees', a self-written ballad and his first solo single since finishing mandatory military service on May 3.

NCT's Jaehyun released the digital single 99 Degrees on July 10, alongside a music video. The track opens with delicate piano, swells into richer instrumental layers, then pulls back to warm, stripped vocals. Jaehyun wrote both lyrics and music.
The song's premise: true love lives not at boiling point, but in the incompleteness of 99 degrees.
"I am happy to be able to share 99 Degrees which I worked on with affection," he said. "I hope you can also feel the most complete meaning that is finally encountered within incompleteness."
He spoke to fans directly too: "I hope a small comfort is conveyed to the lives of Czennies and all those who listen to this music. I wish you a healthy and happy summer."
The release lands roughly two months after Jaehyun finished his mandatory military service with the Army Band on May 3. He moved fast. June brought a fan concert tour kicking off at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, then rolling through Macau, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Taipei (July 4–5) for 8 shows across 5 Asian regions. An 8-show Asian tour and a self-composed single dropped in one summer.
99 Degrees is available now.
