NCT's Mark drops 'Happiest,' older brother steals the MV
Mark (NCT) dropped solo single 'Happiest' on Nov. 6 via his one-man agency Upperroom. His older brother's surprise MV cameo is stealing the spotlight.
Mark's new single and the brother nobody knew about
Mark, formerly of NCT, released solo single Happiest on November 6 through his one-man agency Upperroom. The music video is what everyone's talking about.
His older brother shows up in the Happiest MV. The moment it dropped, Upperroom's official Instagram posted a photo of Mark standing next to him with the caption "갈맹이가 둘" (roughly: two of the same face), tagged straight to the brother's personal SNS account.
The brother's background
He's not entirely new to entertainment. He auditioned at SM Entertainment alongside Mark. The two grew up together across Toronto, Vancouver, and New York before he chose a different route — he's a Korea University graduate.
Mark has mentioned the sibling dynamic before. "I heard many times that my older brother is better-looking than me," he said. That line hits different now that fans can see them side by side.
(The Upperroom Instagram caption knows exactly what it's doing.)
Whether this is a one-time thing or the start of something remains unclear. Happiest is out now.
