Taeyong has given over 100 million won to Daeada Multicultural School since 2016, including a 30 million won gift and school visit this year.

NCT's Taeyong has donated more than 100 million won to Daeada Multicultural School across 11 consecutive years, the school confirmed.
This year's contribution came to 30 million won, earmarked for students who enrolled in Korea partway through their education. (Sources disagree on timing: topstarnews.net lists July 9, while two other outlets say June 4.) On July 29, Taeyong visited in person to spend time with the students. Principal Lee Hee-yong said: "Taeyong has been with multicultural students for 11 years and has provided continuous sponsorship."
Students he's supported have enrolled at universities like Kyung Hee, Sungkyunkwan, Chung-Ang, and Sogang. Many have become hair designers, chefs, and pursued other careers.
The donation arrives as Taeyong ramps back up after military service. He enlisted in the Navy in April 2024—first among NCT members—and was discharged in December after working with the Navy Military Band Honor Guard's cultural PR unit. His comeback stage was the 2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon that same month. From January through April 2026, he ran the solo Asia tour TY TRACK - REMASTERED across six cities: Seoul (Jan. 24–25), Jakarta (Feb. 7), Yokohama (Feb. 16–17), Macau (Feb. 28–Mar. 1), Bangkok (Mar. 28–29), and Kuala Lumpur (Apr. 11). May brought his first full-length solo album, WYLD, with the title track as lead single.
Up next: Taeyong performs at 2026 SBS Gayo Daejeon: SUMMER on August 9. NCT 127 drops a new studio album on August 24, their first in roughly two years.
