NewJeans mark 4th anniversary with first official content in 16 months — without Danielle

NewJeans dropped a 4th anniversary special video on their official YouTube channel on July 22, 2026 — their first official content under the NewJeans name in roughly 1 year and 4 months.
The video features Minji, Hanni, Haerim, and Hyein appearing in sequence. Danielle did not return. On the same day, Danielle posted on personal SNS: "Life can be cloudy sometimes, but light always comes again. Keep shining until then. Forever grateful."
Adoré called it "commemorative content made to enjoy with fans on the 4th anniversary." Specific activity plans will be announced after discussions are completely finalized.
The group debuted on July 22, 2022 with the Attention music video. Their second mini-album Get Up hit number 1 on the US Billboard 200 in 2023. What came after got complicated. NewJeans held a press conference in November 2024 declaring the termination of their exclusive contract. An activity suspension followed a performance in Hong Kong in March 2025.
Adoré is currently pursuing a 33.1 billion won damages lawsuit against Danielle, his family, and former Adoré representative Min Hee-jin. Four members, one lawsuit, zero confirmed comeback date. The anniversary video exists. It is not a full answer.
