NiziU's first Japanese best album *Portfolio* topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart on June 30, paired with a new music video for their pre-debut track.

NiziU's first Japanese best album Portfolio hit No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart dated June 30. (Release date reports vary across outlets.)
The 29-track album documents the group's path from their pre-debut in July 2020 onward. It pulls from across their catalog: pre-debut track Make you happy, debut song Step and a step, Take a picture, CLAP CLAP, SWEET NONFICTION, the Japanese-language version of Korean single 2nd album title track LOVE LINE, and second Japanese EP title track Too Bad.
A music video for Make you happy arrived at midnight alongside the album. The clip revisits moments from the group's history. Their signature jump rope dance choreography returns in a newly arranged version. All nine members appear in sequences tracking their growth: Mako, Rio, Maya, Riku, Ayaka, Mayuka, Rima, Miihi, and Nina.
This chart win extends a streak. NiziU already holds the record for most No. 1 albums by a female artist on the Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking. They clinched that in April when second Japanese EP GOOD GIRL BUT NOT FOR YOU became their seventh cumulative No. 1 on that chart.
Their live schedule has been relentless. The group wrapped a solo arena tour—NiziU Live with U 2026 "NEW EvoNUtion"—hitting 5 regions across 12 shows in Japan, all sold out. June brought performances at Kyocera Dome Osaka and Tokyo Dome as part of their second dome tour, NiziU Live with U 2026 "NiziU : THE CINEMA".
NiziU debuted in 2020 after an audition program co-produced by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Japan.
