Sung-hoon and Oh Se-young in talks for romance drama 'Boss's Overt Taste'

Sung-hoon and Oh Se-young are in talks to lead 보스의 노골적 취향 (Boss's Overt Taste), a drama adaptation of the popular Naver web novel and webtoon by author Sik-keu.

Sung-hoon has been offered the role of Kwon Do-hyuk. A wealthy CEO and AI expert, he trusts data over people and lacks any capacity for empathy or human connection. Oh Se-young is being considered for Lee Eun-chae, the free-spirited vocalist of indie band Indie Red—described as the one flaw in Kwon Do-hyuk's otherwise perfect life. If Sung-hoon signs on, this marks his return to a long-form romance lead for the first time in three years.

His recent work includes the 2023 MBN drama 완벽한 결혼의 정석, special appearances in Tving's 이재, 곧 죽습니다 and ENA's 아이쇼핑, and an early-2026 entry into the short-drama market via DramaBox's 조심해! 내가 레이디 보스야. He was also a regular on variety show 나 혼자 산다 from 2018 to 2022.

Oh Se-young debuted in 2018 with 뷰티 인사이드. Her filmography includes 서른, 아홉, 세 번째 결혼, and 선재 업고 튀어. Earlier this year she played Yoo Se-hee in 판사 이한영, which peaked at 13.6% viewership nationwide per Nielsen Korea.

Director Kang Sol, whose previous work includes 딜리버리 맨! and 여행을 대신해 드립니다, is attached to helm the project. Writer Nam Ji-yeon, known for 우리, 집, will handle the screenplay. A broadcast slot has not been confirmed. Production is targeting an air date this year.
