Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens July 29 as fourth entry in the series

Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened July 29, 2026. Tom Holland's fourth Spider-Man film, directed by Destin Cretton.

The previous three films drew a combined 22.82 million viewers in Korea. Homecoming (2017) pulled 7.25 million. Far From Home (2019) hit 8.02 million. No Way Home (2021) brought in 7.55 million. That's the baseline Brand New Day is working against.

Zendaya Coleman returns as MJ. Jacob Batalon is back as Ned. Sadie Sink joins as Jean Grey, an X-Men character stepping into the villain role. Michael Mando plays Scorpion. Mark Ruffalo appears as Banner, transforming into a destructive Hulk. Jon Bernthal's Punisher shows up. Florence Pugh reprises Yelena from Thunderbolts (2025).

Cretton described Parker's arc as "a touching yet beautiful journey of growth," adding that audiences will find "a more mature Parker, but at the same time, the humane side of him that everyone loved remains intact."

Holland called it "the best version of any Spider-Man movie that has come out so far." (He's biased, obviously, but the cast list alone makes the claim hard to dismiss outright.)

The film is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, based on Marvel comics.
