Singer Yang Ji-won signs with Line Entertainment, joining Kim Guk-jin and Kim Gu-ra

Trot singer Yang Ji-won signed an exclusive contract with Line Entertainment, the agency announced on July 2. Comedians Kim Guk-jin, Kim Gu-ra, Lee Yun-seok, and Yoon Hyung-bin are also on the roster.

Yang Ji-won debuted in 2003 with Alleri Colleri. She hosted Romantic Radio Yang Ji-won from May 2021 through December 2024. Her competition wins include a 1st place finish on MBC Trot Champion in November 2023, a TOP5 placement at the 2023 MBC Trot Champion Awards, and TOP10 finishes at both the 2024 MBC Trot Champion mid-year summary and the 2024 MBC Trot Champion Awards.

Line Entertainment said it "contracted with Yang Ji-won, who has excellent musical skills" and plans to expand her presence in broadcasting and entertainment. The agency called on fans to support Yang Ji-won and her "eight-fold charm," pledging full backing across music, variety, and broadcast activities.
