Young-tak and Kim Dong-jun fulfill a 10-year duet promise on Immortal Songs

Ten years is a long time to hold onto a promise. Kim Dong-jun and Young-tak made one the day they first met — a duet, someday — and on July 25 they finally did it.

They appeared together on KBS 2TV's Immortal Songs '2026 King of Kings Tournament' Part 2 as a duo under the team name Dong.Tak (동.탁). Their song: DAY6's "One Page" (한 페이지가 될 수 있게).

"When I started preparing for the King of Kings Tournament, that promise suddenly came to mind," Kim Dong-jun said. "When I asked 'Can you do it?', he immediately said 'Let's do it. Yeah, let's play!' That's how the duet was formed."

The choice wasn't random. "It was exactly what we wanted to say. It's a song that contains the story we wanted to tell each other," Kim Dong-jun said.

After the performance, he reflected on the moment. "I was choked up. While singing, it felt like I was telling with my eyes 'We're doing this.' My heart feels warm because I was able to keep the promise I've held for 10 years."

Kim Dong-jun is next set to appear in ENA's New Recruit 4: Sabotage (신병4 : 사보타주), which premieres August 24.
