Choeae's Employee (최애의 사원) opened June 3 with a 4.2% domestic rating. Episode 2 dropped to 3.1%—a 1.1-point slide—before bouncing back to 3.9% in episode 3 and settling at 3.6% in episode 4. That 4.2% premiere remains the show's high water mark. Everything since has stayed in the 3% range.

Globally, the picture shifts. Rakuten Viki placed it in the weekly top 3 across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, North Africa, and India. Japan's U-NEXT ranked it in the top 5 of its Korea & Asia category. GoodData Corporation's FUNdex drama buzz ranking had it at No. 5 as of June 13.

The plot centers on 남다름 (Kim Hyejun / 김혜준), who joined a company called Apelo to get close to her idol 이찬 (Cha Woomin / 차우민). He recognized her as a 12-year supporter just by spotting her necklace.
