JENNIE drops 'Fallen Angel' digital EP on Aug. 28, first album release in ~17 months

JENNIE announced her new digital EP Fallen Angel on August 21 via official social media, dropping album cover art and a trailer video the same day.

The three-track project leads with title track FALLEN ANGEL, followed by HEAVEN and Less than a Lover, the digital single she released in July. Her last album-format release was Ruby, her debut full-length from March of last year.

Ruby peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, with lead single Like Jennie and several other tracks landing on the Hot 100. Her collaboration with Australian rock band Tame Impala, Dracula, has spent 12 consecutive weeks in the Hot 100 top 10.

She headlined seven major global festivals this year, including The Governors Ball in the US and Summer Sonic in Japan, and previewed unreleased material at those sets. (If you caught one of those shows, you already heard fragments of this.)

The trailer features a girl's voiceover: "Close your eyes like me. We can fly. Very freely." JENNIE said she wanted to preserve this summer with fans and wove personal, deeply felt stories into the record.
