Lisa posted a public apology over the controversy surrounding BLACKPINK's 10th anniversary fan event, becoming the third member to address the backlash after Jisoo and Rosé.
The 'Meet and Greet' happened on August 8 at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. All four members showed up. Only 40 fans were invited, and the announcement came just two days before. A 40-person event for a group's decade milestone sparked immediate criticism online.
Jisoo spoke up that day: "This commemorative day feels like a day with a lot of apologies in my heart. I am sorry once again for causing great disappointment." Rosé followed on August 11, saying she had wanted August 8 to be "a day when we all laughed and had a happy time" and that she was "full of apologies because things did not go as I hoped."
Lisa's message came roughly a week after the event. "That situation is very sad, and I am truly sorry for how things have unfolded. I cannot even imagine how disappointed you all must have been. I felt the same way," she wrote. She wasn't writing to justify anything, but to "cherish the love and bond we have shared together." She closed by thanking BLINKs for always being by their side.
