WJSN's Da Young drops first collab single 'FLIRTY' featuring Park Jae Beom

WJSN's Da Young released FLIRTY, a collaboration single featuring Park Jae Beom, on August 4. The track arrived across online music platforms roughly four months after her April digital single What's a Girl to Do.

She wrote and composed it herself. FLIRTY is a pop track built on guitar sounds and a groovy rhythm that blends R&B and reggae tones, centered on the excitement and confidence of a new connection forming. Her clear, vibrant vocals sit alongside Park Jae Beom's relaxed, trendy tone throughout.

A music video teaser dropped on August 3, the day before the full release.

Da Young described her process in detail. "When I heard the intro, I felt the pounding heartbeat or excitement just before love begins," she said. She put the most effort into structuring the parts and timing Park Jae Beom's voice so it would land most attractively while keeping the balance between them. (Songwriting and feature casting handled by the same person—that's a flex.)

Asked whether she feels her abilities have grown, she laughed and said she still doesn't know. Her goal every time is to create a song she can be 100% satisfied with. "I want to continue making music I really love and share it with you all," she said.

Starship Entertainment manages Da Young's releases.
