Dok2 drops free birthday track for Lee Hi, calls her "my love, beautiful dolphin"
The rapper released "You Are Ma Hae" on September 23 as a tribute to girlfriend Lee Hi, days after the two shared a stage in Ulaanbaatar.
A birthday song and a very public declaration
Dok2 released a free track titled You Are Ma Hae on September 23 — Lee Hi's birthday — calling it "a birthday celebration tribute to my love, beautiful dolphin Hae." He added: "Thank you for being born. I love you so much."
The release came four days after the couple performed together at Super Concert: Special in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on September 19, where Dok2 introduced Lee Hi to the crowd as "my lady."
From a 2016 TV collab to a shared label
The two first crossed paths in 2016 on MBC's Infinite Challenge, where Lee Hi featured on "Like," a track by Yoo Jae-suk and Dok2. They reportedly began dating around 2022 and officially confirmed the relationship in March of this year.
Beyond the romance, they've built a professional partnership: the couple co-founded label 808 HI RECORDINGS and have been releasing music together under it. (A birthday diss track this is not — the man named the song after her.)
