FLARE U's first Japanese album is out

FLARE U released YOUTH ERROR Japan Edition at midnight on September 9. Their first Japanese album, it expands the mini album they put out domestically in May.

The 10-track set keeps the original album's full tracklist and adds Japanese-language versions of title track WAY 2 U, B-sides Hyper and Don't Cry, plus one brand-new Japanese original: DOOM BA DOOM DOOM BA.

What 'DOOM BA DOOM DOOM BA' actually sounds like

The new original is a dance pop track anchored by catchy vocal synths and a bouncy bass line. Repetitive choruses and member vocals drive the energy. The concept is simple: set aside complicated thoughts and surrender to the rhythm together.

The domestic YOUTH ERROR frames the story of two youths carrying different kinds of errors, stumbling through mistakes as part of growing up. It crossed 180,000 copies in first-week sales when it dropped in May.

December at Yokohama

The Japan push doesn't stop at the album. FLARE U will take the stage at 2026 FNC KINGDOM THE FLOATING BAZAAR on December 12–13 at Yokohama Pial Arena MM. It's their first time joining the FNC Entertainment family concert, and they're slated for both solo stages and collaborative stages with senior artists on the label roster. A Japanese album and an FNC KINGDOM debut in the same year—the group is clearly in full Japan-mode right now.
