hrtz.wav wraps second-week music show run for 'ALIVE,' adds three October festival dates
hrtz.wav hit three major Korean music shows in consecutive days. Their new album 'The Second Wave : MOMENTUM' saw Hanteo sales jump 129% over their debut.
Three shows in three days
hrtz.wav closed out their second week of promotions for The Second Wave : MOMENTUM with back-to-back music show appearances. KBS2's Music Bank on the 18th, MBC's Show! Music Core on the 19th, and SBS's Inkigayo on the 20th all featured the title track ALIVE, which features Seongchan (성찬) of RIIZE.
The five-member band — Yoon Young-jun (keyboard), Rian (vocals), Dain (bass), K-ten (guitar), and Hagiwa (drums) — completed the full trifecta of Korean music broadcast stages in their second comeback week.
The numbers behind the album
The Second Wave : MOMENTUM opened with a 129% jump in Hanteo Chart first-week sales compared to their debut album. Spotify cumulative listeners rose 151.4% and streams rose 51.9% in the six days following release, both measured against the debut.
ALIVE sits at No. 34 on Melon's HOT100 at the 30-day mark. It hit No. 34 on YouTube Music's popular music video chart and No. 11 on Instagram Reels' trending audio chart. The track also entered the top 10 on iTunes top singles charts in three countries.
The challenge reel posted on release day pulled approximately 34 million views on Instagram. That Reels number alone signals where the band's reach is heading.
October festival run
hrtz.wav will expand beyond the music show circuit in October with three festival appearances:
