Actress Ji Ye-eun and Bata, leader of dance crew Wee Dum Boys, will marry December 12 in Seoul—Bata's birthday and roughly one year after they went public.
Actress Ji Ye-eun and Bata, leader of dance crew Wee Dum Boys, are getting married. C.P Entertainment confirmed on September 2 that the two will hold their wedding on December 12 at an undisclosed location in Seoul.
December 12 is Bata's birthday. It also marks roughly one year since the couple made their romance public in April. Five months passed between their engagement and the announcement.
Both were born in 1994. They met at church, where conversations about sermons after worship became the start of something deeper. Ji Ye-eun recalled the early dating phase on SBS Running Man: they couldn't hold hands for three weeks. Bata eventually asked, "Can I hold your hand?"
She's talked about him across multiple variety shows. "He's such a good person — I wonder if men like this even exist these days," she said. He used to drink and smoke but quit entirely after finding faith. On SBS Miwoo Uri Saekki, she was direct: "I'm going to take responsibility for him. Why date someone if you can't?"
C.P Entertainment's statement: "The two have promised to share their lives together based on deep trust."
Bata finished runner-up on Mnet's Street Man Fighter in 2022. He choreographed for BLACKPINK's Jennie (Like Jennie) and handled choreography for Ji Ye-eun's project group Chungju Ji-ssi on Milkshake. Work and love were already overlapping before the wedding announcement.
Ji Ye-eun debuted in 2017 with the web drama How To. She's appeared on Coupang Play's SNL Korea, SBS Running Man, and Netflix's Dae-hwan-jang Gian-jang and Yoo Jae-seok Camp.
