Ji Seok-jin's well-meaning taxi ruined the vibe
Ji Ye-eun and Ji Seok-jin appeared on SBS variety show Whatever You Want — Secretary Jin on October 16. They shared the behind-the-scenes story of how Ji Seok-jin nearly derailed her relationship with dancer Bata before it even started.
Bata had been the choreographer for "Milkshake," a track by Chungju Ji Clan — the unit Ji Seok-jin and Ji Ye-eun are part of. Ji Seok-jin noticed the chemistry immediately. "At that time, the two of us had some chemistry," he recalled.
But Ji Seok-jin kept sending Ji Ye-eun home. "It's my team and they practiced because of me," he explained, "so I put her in a taxi and sent her home reluctantly." Good intentions. Bad execution.
Ji Ye-eun tells it differently. She didn't want to leave, but Ji Seok-jin wouldn't budge until she actually got in the cab. So she did. The moment he walked away, she told the driver to circle the block and got back out.
December wedding
Ji Ye-eun and Bata confirmed their relationship in April. Five months later they announced their engagement. The wedding happens in December.
