11.8% and a show-best finish

Chaebol X Detective 2 (재벌X형사2) closed on September 19 with a nationwide viewership rating of 11.8% for its final episode. That's a new series high, surpassing the first season's peak.

Kang Sang-jun played Park Jun-young (박준영), the detective anchoring the Major Crimes Unit at Kangha Police Station. He reflected on the 14-episode run:

"Throughout filming, there was endless joy and healthy passion on set, so I was able to film very happily."

He said he worked hard hoping viewers would enjoy it as much as the cast and crew did. If the show brought "a little joy" to their daily lives, he'd be glad.

The cast

The ensemble featured An Bo-hyun (안보현) as Jin Yi-su (진이수), the chaebol detective at the center of the story. Jung Eun-chae (정은채) played Joo Hye-ra (주혜라), a veteran team leader and former ace of the Police Anti-Terrorism Unit. Kang Sang-jun (강상준) was Park Jun-young (박준영). Kim Sin-bi (김신비) played Choi Kyung-jin (최경진), the youngest member of the team. Jung Ga-hee (정가희) was Yoon Ji-won (윤지원), a medical examiner at the National Institute of Scientific Investigation.

An Bo-hyun said the character of Jin Yi-su made him "truly happy" and that he felt he had become brighter through the role. Jung Eun-chae called working alongside the cast and crew "an honor" and said the project would remain a precious memory. Kim Sin-bi thanked viewers for staying with the show from summer through autumn.
