Kim Beom-su posted a cover of HYNN (박혜원)'s title track 3일 후 to his official YouTube channel on September 2. The retro R&B track — one of two title cuts on HYNN's new EP 여름결 — hit 1st on the Vibe Rising Chart, 2nd on the YouTube Music Rising Chart, and 13th on the Melon Hot 100.
He left a comment on the cover: "미국 켄터키주에서 매달 열리는 3일장 대표 메뉴인 후라이드 치킨 맛?!" A playful riff on the song title's three-day wordplay.
The momentum behind the EP
A duet stage of 3일 후 featuring HYNN and Yu Young-woo on YouTube channel Youth Desk crossed 1.7 million views. HYNN's appearance on comedy channel Shortbox (숏박스) is approaching 5 million views.
She also wrapped her summer solo concert Midnight Blue : Luna-rium at Yonsei University Grand Auditorium, closing out her summer schedule ahead of continued promotions.
What's next for 여름결
여름결 carries two title tracks: 3일 후 and 운석이 떨어져 종말이 찾아온 것도 아닌데 (roughly: "It's Not Like a Meteorite Fell and the End of the World Came"). HYNN is set to promote both tracks going forward.
