Trot singer Kim Su-chan, 31, performed back-to-back Citizens' Day shows this weekend and called on fans to meet again at Chuseok.

Kim Su-chan hit the stage at both the Wonsam-myeon Citizens' Day and the Gwangju Songjeong-dong Citizens' Day events over two consecutive days.
Afterward, he spoke to fans directly: "Thank you to all the citizens and residents who joined today's performances, and especially to Chani-sarang fans. You worked hard for two days. Let's regroup and meet again at Chuseok."
The Citizens' Day run caps off a packed year. On the 10th, Kim Su-chan performed Nam-jada ("Be a Man") on MBC ON's Trot Champion September monthly champion stage, broadcast live. He ranked 21st on the Fan and Star weekly solo ranking for the first week of April 2024. He's also guested on KBS 1TV's Hwang Shin-hye's Let's Do It Together.
Kim Su-chan debuted in 2012 with the trot album Audition. Since 2013 he's been a regular on KBS's Gayo Stage. His 2019 single Love's Problem Solver became his signature track.
In 2020 he released the mini-album Su-chan Noraebang, with title track Eongdeongi, a remake of a Banana Girl song produced by Bang Si-hyuk. The music video featured Jin-sung, Kim Hee-jae, and Jung Dong-won dancing alongside him—a trot collab that still circulates. That year he placed 10th in the final round of TV Chosun's Tomorrow is Mr. Trot. By 2023 he'd joined the regular cast of Men Who Do Housework.
