Fans picked the title track — and it wasn't close
QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, Siyeon) released 소년만화 & 피카레스크 (Shounen Manga & Picaresque) on September 21, 2026 across music streaming platforms.
The title track came straight from fans. The "CHOOSE YOUR QWER" project paired a listening pop-up with online and offline voting. About 27,000 people cast ballots. 소년만화 (Shounen Manga) took roughly 70% of the vote. Not a contest.
소년만화 is about chasing dreams like a manga protagonist when real life doesn't cooperate—upbeat band sound wrapped around lyrics that frame it as a youth story. B-side 피카레스크 (Picaresque) shifts tone entirely: witty lyrics and a repeating chorus built on the idea of living boldly in your own way inside a mundane, clichéd world.
Seoul dates done, Asia tour next
Neither track was new to fans who caught the Seoul leg of QWER's second tour, 로케이션 : 로켓 론치!! (Location: Rocket Launch!!). The group performed both songs live for the first time at Koryo University Hwajung Gymnasium on September 12 and 13.
The tour hits eight Asian cities next:
Taipei on October 10–11. Fukuoka. Osaka. Tokyo. Kuala Lumpur. Bangkok. Hong Kong in January 2027. Singapore in January 2027.
