Roy Kim to release 'Your Name' OST remake Sept. 11, new song in October, and year-end concerts in November

Roy Kim (Kim Sang-woo, 34) is heading into fall with a packed schedule: a film OST remake on September 11, an original song in October, and a two-night year-end concert run in Seoul.

SPARKLE remake lands September 11

The remake of SPARKLE — the OST from the animated film Your Name — drops on September 11. Roy Kim has described Your Name as a film he loves, which frames this as a personal project rather than a commercial commission.

An original song follows in October. He described it as being "for those who can't sleep." That's all he's said about it.

Two nights at KSPO Dome in November

Roy Kim will hold year-end solo concerts on November 21 and 22 at Seoul Olympic Park KSPO Dome. He said he plans to catch up with his people "when the weather gets cold."

The concerts cap a year in which he has skipped his usual vacation to stay focused. "This year I'm focusing ahead without taking the usual vacation," he said, "and I'm grateful for being busy." He added: "Still, I get tired sometimes."

On why he keeps promoting despite the grind, Roy Kim put it plainly. Spreading the word on work he has poured everything into is, in his words, "my responsibility."

Where this fits in 2026

Earlier in 2026, Roy Kim released the remake album Bloom Again (다시 불러 봄), which covered six tracks: '앵콜요청금지', '스물다섯, 스물하나', 'Smile Boy', '왜 그래', '한 사람을 위한 마음', and '바람의 노래'.

He has also been running a fan meeting series titled THE ROY KIM SHOW: 말하기·듣기·노래하기 (Speaking·Listening·Singing). The SPARKLE remake and the October original mark his first new recordings since Bloom Again.
