영탁 (Young Tak) returns with 12-track album 'GOGO' on September 14, first full-length in 3 years

Three years, 12 tracks, one genre buffet

영탁 (Young Tak) is releasing his third regular album GOGO on September 14, his first full-length since FORM in August 2023. A three-year gap. He wrote, composed, and arranged 11 of the 12 tracks himself.

GOGO moves through punk, pop, rock, ballad, trot, and country in a single tracklist. The album asks: "What if you move a little differently than expected?" Title track 꺾어 ("Break") runs with that directly—it's about finding courage to keep going when things don't unfold as planned.

From '펭귄' to 'PACEMAKER'

The album opens with 펭귄 ("Penguin"), a track about accepting your own rhythm even when it differs from everyone else's. It closes with PACEMAKER, which is about matching each other's pace and walking together to the end.

In between: 도시라솔파미레도 asks "Am I still myself?" in a world where everything has flipped. 빈티지러브 watches a relationship deepen over time. 낡은 라디오 reflects on family and memory through a father's old radio he couldn't bring himself to throw away. 허허 (虛虛) is a trot track about viewing a life that arrives and leaves empty-handed with calm acceptance. 임시저장 is a ballad about feelings you keep writing and erasing but can never forget. 오늘밤 잠 못 자겠다 captures the giddy excitement of a sleepless night spent thinking about someone, played upbeat. 날씨 참 좋네 delivers a warm message that tomorrow gets a little clearer when you're not alone. VIDA LOCA is pure forward momentum, no hesitation.

What to watch for

GOGO is Young Tak's clearest statement yet as a full-package songwriter. Eleven production credits on your own album is not a small number. (The one track he didn't touch is probably the most interesting conversation to have after September 14.) The title track 꺾어 is the obvious entry point, but the trot-to-punk range across the full tracklist is where this album will either hold together or fall apart.
