AKMU's Lee Suhyun appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel 빠더너스 in a video released October 4, 2026. The video is titled 악뮤 vs 악 무거워! 오빠보다 열받게 하는 사람을 처음 보는 이수현과 야유회.

She opened with a simple goal: "A day receiving a lot of happy inspiration." When she added musical inspiration to that list, host 문상훈 (Moon Sanghoon) went straight for it. "Why do you need musical inspiration? Isn't your older brother making all of AKMU's music?"

Suhyun didn't flinch. "That's right. My older brother is producing all of AKMU's albums." She confirmed he also produced her solo debut song. Then she caught herself—she isn't active only as AKMU.

She composed the intro. She's not just along for the ride.

The exchange could have stopped there. Suhyun pushed back on the framing instead. She pointed out that AKMU is no longer under YG. The duo became independent. She called her brother "a wellspring of inspiration," then landed the counter: "I also have compositions. I composed something in the intro."
