BABYMONSTER drops 'DESERVE' on October 23
October 23 brings DESERVE (디저브), a new digital single from BABYMONSTER. The group is mid-tour and still pushing out new music — that's how YG operates.
YG Entertainment's overall producer Yang Hyun-suk had this to say ahead of release:
"It is a slow song but has more intense energy than any song we have released so far. Baby Monster's delicate vocals and explosive singing ability come together to capture the peak of emotion."
So it's ballad-adjacent, but Yang is calling it the group's most intense release yet. Whether that holds up depends on the track itself.
World tour running, album coming in 2027
BABYMONSTER is currently touring. Their second world tour, CHOOM, spans 18 cities across 31 performances worldwide. DESERVE lands during that window, and a full new album is scheduled for early 2027. The group is building toward something bigger.
October's single is the first piece. The album is the second. That's a lot of output while running a 31-show tour.
What else YG announced
YG also confirmed TREASURE returning November 2 with new digital single SHOCK (쇼크), described as hip-hop. Yang said TREASURE is undergoing "the biggest change in musical direction" of any act at the label right now, framing the release as the start of the group's "full-fledged second act" heading into 2027.
Two new YG acts are in preparation. A five-member boy group and a four-member girl group will both record demo songs by the end of 2026, with debut schedules to be confirmed once title tracks are decided.
