EL CAPITXN and Beauty School Dropout team up on 'Don't Say Love,' a prelude to his debut album
EL CAPITXN, the producer behind BTS and IU, steps into the spotlight with a hard rock single featuring LA band Beauty School Dropout. His 12-track debut album 'WHO KILLED EL?' arrives November 6.

A producer steps to the front — with a featured band in tow
EL CAPITXN released Don't Say Love on October 23, 2026. The track dropped at midnight local time across regions through major music platforms, with Los Angeles rock band Beauty School Dropout on the feature.
Hard rock and alternative rock built the song. Heavy guitar, an insistent rhythm, a repetitive chorus. The lyrics sit at an uncomfortable intersection: the physical reality of no longer being able to produce sound as before, and the pull to still sing about love. EL CAPITXN was previously active as a singer before an illness left him unable to sing.
What 'Don't Say Love' is opening
Don't Say Love leads into WHO KILLED EL?, EL CAPITXN's first full-length album, due November 6, 2026. Twelve tracks. Rock, orchestra, gospel, classical, and pop all share space on the record, each pulling from his actual experiences: loss, anger, love, longing, and a changed sense of identity.
Earlier in 2026, EL CAPITXN released Breaking Through, featuring Tomorrow X Together's Taehyun and American singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker. The Beauty School Dropout collab continues that pattern of pairing with Western artists as he builds out his own discography.
The production résumé behind the artist
EL CAPITXN's production credits include Agust D's Daechwita, IU's Eight, Jung Kook's Stay Alive, BTS's Take Two, Tomorrow X Together's Neverland wo Tachinagaramite (네버랜드를 떠나며), tripleS's Girls Never Die, and PLAVE's DASH. He has also worked with PSY and SEVENTEEN. That's the catalog he's stepping away from—at least temporarily—to put his own name on a record.
(Twelve tracks, five genres, one debut album: November 6 is going to be a lot.)
