iKON's Kim Dong-hyuk performs at Ground Forces Festival, ATEEZ 'BAD' dance video hits millions of views
iKON's Kim Dong-hyuk, serving in the Army Military Band, performed at the 16th Gyeryong Military Culture Festival and starred in a viral ATEEZ 'BAD' choreography clip.

Kim Dong-hyuk on stage in uniform
iKON's Kim Dong-hyuk (28) enlisted on July 28, 2025, and now serves as a soldier in the Army Military Band. He took the stage at the Ground Forces Festival held at Gyeryong Army Base in South Chungcheong Province as part of the 16th Gyeryong Military Culture Festival.
Before the festival, Kim filmed a choreography video of ATEEZ's BAD in military uniform. He appeared alongside fellow celebrity soldiers Kang Daniel and Baek Ho. The clip racked up millions of views in a short time after being posted online. Kim reflected on the event in a post, writing: "I was so happy."
The member behind the numbers
Kim serves as main dancer and sub-vocalist in iKON. The six-member group—Kim Dong-hyuk, Kim Jin-hwan, Song Yun-hyung, BOBBY, Koo Junhoe, and Jung Chan-woo—debuted with digital single 취향저격 in 2015. Their second studio album Return produced the title track 이별길.
His songwriting credit on 너란 바람 따라 tells its own story. The track from the mini-album i DECIDE entered the Melon chart immediately after release and has since logged approximately 4.8 million plays on Melon and over 7 million on Spotify. On the digital single 왜왜왜 (Why Why Why), he handled more vocal parts than the group's main vocalists. (Not bad for a sub-vocalist.)
Kim also spent roughly six months studying abroad in Georgia, USA during childhood and is fluent in English.
