Jeon Hyun-moo's meaningful reaction to hot spring talk on 'This Is Hyunmoo Road'
Host Jeon Hyun-moo's two public breakups made for an awkward moment when co-stars joked about visiting a hot spring with lovers.
The hot spring moment everyone noticed
On the October 18 episode of MBN's This Is Hyunmoo Road, host Jeon Hyun-moo traveled to Tokushima, Japan with actors Lee Jun and Kim Nam-gil. They'd just finished a zipline in nature. Lee Jun had complained the whole way: "Why is the zipline so narrow? Why is this so scary?" Jeon countered, "It's not scary to watch, but it's scary standing here." Then came the outdoor mountain hot spring.
Lee Jun jumped in first and yelped "It's too hot" before floating back and saying, "If I come here later with my lover, it would be really amazing." Kim Nam-gil didn't miss a beat: "Can you come here with your lover?" The joke landed harder than intended. Jeon has had two public relationships, both confirmed breakups.
Two public relationships, both on the record
Jeon acknowledged dating model Han Hye-jin in February 2018 and announced their split in March 2019. That November he went public with announcer-turned-broadcaster Lee Hye-sung; they broke up in February 2022. No current relationship has been confirmed.
Scarecrow village, 360 figures, 22 years
The Tokushima leg also took the trio to Nagoro Scarecrow Village in Miyoshi, home to approximately 360 scarecrows built over 22 years. Jeon said he "thought there would be about 10." Kim Nam-gil was less optimistic: "If I came in alone, I'd really get goosebumps. I got goosebumps." 360 scarecrows will do that to a person.
