Lee Chae-yeon drops Japan debut single 'ボクノコエ(My Voice)' with J-ROCK title track and MV
Lee Chae-yeon released her Japan debut single and MV on Oct. 8 via Day One Dream's Japan label D1 RECORDS, leading with a J-ROCK title track.

Lee Chae-yeon goes J-ROCK for Japan debut
Lee Chae-yeon dropped her Japan debut single ボクノコエ (My Voice) on October 8 across global digital platforms via Day One Dream's Japan label, D1 RECORDS. Full audio and music video included.
The title track is J-ROCK built around a band sound and heavy electric guitar. It's a deliberate shift. The artist known as a "Performance Queen" is now leading with her voice. The B-side is a Japanese-language version of No Tears On The Dancefloor, the title track from her Korean mini-album 4 released in April—a Nu-Disco Dance-Pop track with retro feel.
Tokyo showcase, then a full promo run
Two days before the digital drop, Chae-yeon held a Japan debut commemorative showcase in Tokyo on October 6.
She explained the concept: "This title track was born from the thought of conveying my current feelings through my 'voice.'" On the shift in artistic direction, she added, "If I have shown many sides through performance so far, this time I hope you will feel another charm of mine through my singing voice and delicate emotional expression."
(The quote lands differently when you remember how much of her reputation has been built on stage presence alone.)
Chae-yeon plans to follow the release with local media interviews, broadcast appearances, and offline events in Japan.
