Song Gain marks 14 years: new trot single, Vietnam concert, and back-to-back million-view YouTube hits
The 'trot queen' marks 14 years with a July dance-trot single, a sold-out Vietnam concert, and two OST placements.
14 years in, and she's not slowing down
Song Gain is marking her 14th debut anniversary on October 12, 2026. J.G Star shared a commemorative image via official SNS that day.
July brought her biggest musical moment: 꽃이 아니면 어떤가, a dance-trot track that fuses samba house rhythm with traditional trot sensibility. The music video crossed 1.39 million views.
She landed two OST credits in 2026. 사랑아 사랑아 for the KBS 2TV drama 사랑을 처방해 드립니다 charted immediately and hit No. 1 in Melon's popular search terms. A second OST, 동행(同行), went to the MMORPG 열혈강호: 넥스트 as the game's second soundtrack.
Vietnam, variety, and brand deals
May saw her solo concert 가인달 The 차오르다 near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Roughly 700 seats filled.
On variety, she serves as vice-chairperson of youth on the SBS program 제철리 마을회관. Her YouTube channel has been strong: a surprise wedding visit video and a separate clip with broadcaster Jonathan both surpassed 1 million views.
Off-screen, she was selected as a red ginseng brand model for the third consecutive year and reappointed as a promotional model for Jindo County.
