Sukhee's new single is out

Sukhee (숙희) dropped the digital single 사랑하는데 어떻게 헤어질 수 있니 on October 5 across online music platforms. The track is a traditional ballad about the pain of lovers who still have feelings for each other but must choose to part anyway.

The lyrics sit right in that contradiction. "사랑하는데 헤어지는 게 맞는 걸까 사랑하는데 어떻게 헤어질 수 있니" — someone who can't accept a breakup they know is coming. Then there's this: "이게 우리 마지막일까 붙잡으면 더 아플 걸 알아서 결국 놓아야 하는 걸까" The push-pull of wanting to hold on while knowing it only makes things worse. (Classic breakup ballad territory, but the specificity lands.)

The team behind the song

Composers Pilseungbulpae (필승불패) and Jang Seokwon (장석원) worked on the track together. The result is a lyrical yet sweeping melody.

Sukhee debuted in 2009 through the Cho Young-soo project single SG Wannabe & 숙희, with the track 천상 여자 (Feat. PK헤만). This new single is her latest release since that long career start.
