Jung Ye-in replaces Ha Young as Ju Ji-hoon's 'Trauma Center' confirms Seasons 2 and 3
Netflix's 'Trauma Center' is getting two more seasons at once. Jung Ye-in joins after Ha Young exits over a pro-Japanese controversy involving her great-grandfather.

Two seasons, one announcement
Netflix's 중증외상센터 (Trauma Center) is moving forward with Season 2 and Season 3 in simultaneous production. Five cast members are locked in: Ju Ji-hoon, Choo Young-woo, Yoon Kyung-ho, Jung Jae-gwang, and newcomer Jung Ye-in.
The original run cracked the top 10 in 63 countries. The production team is betting on back-to-back seasons to push that reach even further.
Jung Ye-in in, Ha Young out
Jung Ye-in takes over as Cheon Jang-mi, a veteran nurse on the trauma team. She won the role through competitive audition after Ha Young left the project. Ha Young's departure came after controversy surrounding her great-grandfather's pro-Japanese activities.
The rest of the core cast stays put. Ju Ji-hoon returns as Baek Kang-hyuk, the genius trauma surgeon anchoring the team. Choo Young-woo plays Yang Jae-won, positioned as Baek Kang-hyuk's successor. Yoon Kyung-ho is back as Han Yu-rim, now promoted to director of the foundation office at Korean University Hospital. Jung Jae-gwang returns as Park Kyung-won.
The production team will add more new actors. Character and world-building expansions are coming.
Bigger disasters, two writers
Season 2 escalates the stakes. Baek Kang-hyuk and the trauma team face larger-scale disasters and unpredictable crises while fighting to protect the golden hour between life and death. Director Lee Do-yoon is writing the Season 2 screenplay himself.
Season 3 brings a second writer into the room. Lee Do-yoon is joined by emerging writer Tomasi (토마시). Two seasons greenlit at once, two writers already assigned—the production is clearly thinking ahead.
Both seasons will be exclusive to Netflix.
