Mountain climbing became an important axis of K-travel

If you look at the social media trends of foreigners visiting Korea, you can often see them hiking.
In Korea, more than 60% of the country is made up of mountains, and there are four distinct seasons, so visiting mountains is also a great K-travel content to find peace of mind and body and gain a sense of accomplishment.
Today, I would like to introduce K-trenz to a good hiking course in Seoul.

Bukhan Mountain
Baekwoondae (836.5m) in Bukhansan Mountain is the highest peak in Seoul and offers panoramic views of the capital city at a glance. Here's a round-up of your most sought-after core courses, difficulties, and essential supplies.
- Baekwoondae Shortest Course (departing from Doseon Temple)
It is the most popular course for beginners and hikers because it is the fastest and easiest to climb on Baegundae.
Course: Exit 2 of Bukhansan Wui Station → Baekwoondae Exploration Support Center (Doseun Temple) → Insuam → Baekwoondae Shelter → Baekwoon bongam Gate → Baekwoondae peak
Time: Around 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours round trip: About 2km one way (4km round trip)
Transportation and parking: Get off at Bukhansan Wui Station on the light rail Uisinseol Line and take a taxi to the pilot square. (You can use the pilot parking lot when using your own car)

- Baekwoondae Tour Course (departing from Bukhansanseong Entrance) It is a course where you can enjoy the open nature and historical fortress roads.
Course: Bukhansanseong Exploration Support Center → Saemaeul Bridge → Borisa → Daedongsa → Baekwoon Bongam Gate → Baekwoondae Peak Soyo
Time: About 4 to 5 hours round trip: About 3.4 km one-way (about 6.8 km round trip)
Traffic and parking: Get off at Bukhansanseong Entrance after boarding bus 704 at Gupabal Station on Line 3 (use Bukhansanseong 1st parking lot when using your own car)
- Difficulty and Highlights for each course: Steep uphill, stairs, and dense forest roads lead to constant physical consumption.
After Baekwoon Bongam Gate (caution section): the 200-300m section just before the peak consists of rocks and cliffs.
Be especially careful when you have acrophobia or when it rains/snows because you have to hold the installed steel cables and handrails.
Peak Scenery: At the peak of the Taegeukgi, an overwhelming view awaits of Insubong Peak, Dobongsan Mountain, and downtown Seoul, and it is also famous for its sunrise spots.
- Mandatory Preparation Climbing: Mounting shoes with good grip are essential to avoid slipping on steep rock sections at the top.
Gloves: Since you have to go up and down by holding on to the iron rope in the rock section, it is recommended to bring non-slip coated work gloves or hiking gloves.
Water and Snacks: Prepare behavioral meals such as chocolate to replenish water and stamina for rehydration while hiking.
