Lego pop-up in Seongsu: World Cup soccer sets and trophy displays
Lego just opened its first convenience-store pop-up in Seoul, and it's anchored to the 2026 North American World Cup season. If you're a collector or just want to see how a massive tournament trophy looks in brick form, this is a quick Seongsu stop worth clustering into a neighborhood crawl.
The pop-up is inside GS25 Trend Lab Seongsu, a five-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 4. The space isn't sprawling — it's more of a focused corner than a full takeover — but the curation is sharp: soccer-themed Lego sets (dioramas featuring global players, buildable soccer balls, trophy replicas), limited Lego Minifigures capturing player signatures (Ronaldo's celebration pose, Messi's iconic ceremony), and F1 racing sets mixed in. The trophy display hits hardest; it's genuinely impressive for a convenience-store flex.
What you actually get: You can browse and purchase directly from the pop-up display. No ticket or reservation needed — walk in anytime. The store runs 24/7, so there's no closing time stress. Lego sets range from around 46,900 won (soccer highlight series) to 169,000 won (detailed soccer ball build). If you buy Lego during the pop-up window, you're entered into a draw: spend 150,000 won on a Lego soccer edition and you get a shot at a Lego brick keychain (first 50 customers, first-come-first-served); spend 150,000 won on any Lego product and you might win a Legoland ticket (three winners, two tickets each). Everyone who buys gets a 3,000-won GS25 coupon (limited quantity, first-come-first-served).
The blogger noted the space feels more like a curated pop-up than a standard convenience-store shelf, which matters if you're used to Lego being scattered across multiple retailers. The wall displays are arranged so you can see the actual Minifigures and sets before committing to a purchase. Soccer knowledge isn't required — the visual storytelling (trophy, ball, player figures) does the heavy lifting.
One practical note: the blogger mentioned the popup space is compact, so if you're going during peak hours (lunch, evening commute), expect a minor crowd. It's not a destination pop-up like a fashion or beauty launch, so walk-ins are the norm and it moves quickly.
The running window is June 5 – July 2, 2026. If you're in Seoul during the World Cup and want to grab a limited Lego set or just see the trophy in person, Seongsu is already a neighborhood worth a few hours (Seongsu Station is a hub for design shops, cafés, and galleries). This pop-up slots in as a 20-minute detour, not a full itinerary.
