Crayon Shin-chan pop-up hits Yongsan through August 10 — what to grab

Mina Park·7/29/2026, 6:02:38 PM

Crayon Shin-chan is back in Seoul, and this time it's a proper goods pop-up — not a photo-op corner. The Tteokleaf Village Resident Festival opens Thursday, July 30 at Yongsan I'Park Mall's Living Park 3F (at the Dopamine Station space called 'The Popup'), running through August 10. If you caught the watermelon-themed event at the same mall last month, this is the full-scale merch version — limited goods, tiered gift freebies, and walk-in queuing.

The lineup leans into deep-cut fandom: instead of just the main five kids, the official graphics feature the neighborhood adults — Shin's parents, Mr. Oshioki, and even Ms. Namiri the teacher. That alone signals this pop-up is made for longtime fans, not casual passersby. The merch prices are genuinely gentle: keychains cluster between 4,900–8,900 won, so you can grab one or two without guilt. There's a restock of the Meng Shin-chan doll keychain (8,900 won) that sold out at previous pop-ups — expect that to move fast. The pre-sale exclusives include random CDP keychains (6,000 won), mobile phone keychains with Whitey charm (4,500 won), and snowman figurines of the five friends (5,500 won). A few standout picks: the pajama-friends keychains span five characters (Whitey, the Demon King, pig, rabbit, dinosaur — each 8,900 won), and there's a seasonal neck cooler shaped like the Action Mask (20,000 won) that feels tailor-made for a summer pop-up.

The photo zones are the second pillar. Three full-size character setups let you step into actual episodes: a couple in a heart-pose with you sandwiched between them (the romance zone), the two grandfathers' awkward-air moment, and the crumbling mansion wall with Mr. Oshioki. If you've watched the show, you'll recognize each one instantly.

Entry is walk-in only — no pre-booking via Naver or Catch Table. You register for a wait starting at 10 AM daily at a designated spot near the Dopamine Station entrance (the exact spot can shift with operations, so ask staff). Once the store opens at 10:30 AM, the waitlist moves to the pop-up entrance. You'll get a KakaoTalk alert when it's your turn; you have five minutes to show up or your spot cancels. No saving seats with bags or mats.

Gifts tier by spend: just show up and you get a postcard (Shin's diary-style invite to the festival in his wobbly handwriting). Spend 50,000 won or more and grab a citizen-ID keychain with a space for your name. Hit 100,000 won and you get a clear passport case illustrated with Tteokleaf landmarks. All three gifts are limited — once they run out, they're done — so early visits are smarter if freebies are your target.

Yongsan is the Seoul stop, but this is a touring pop-up: it moves to Cheongju's Connect Hyundai from August 28 to September 6, so if your Seoul dates don't line up, you have a backup window. The nearest subway is Yongsan Station (Lines 1 and Gyeongui-Jungang) — the mall is directly connected, and Living Park is on the 3F toward the Hangang-daero exit.
