Olio lash pop-up in Hongdae: free samples, photo prints, pro makeup on weekends

Aiko Tanaka·6/16/2026, 6:00:08 PM

Olio is a Korean beauty brand launched by KISS (the US lash giant) — and if you've scrolled K-beauty lately, you've probably seen the brand's model, ENHYPEN, plastered across Seoul. This October, they're running a month-long pop-up in Hongdae that's genuinely worth the detour if you're clustering beauty stops in that district.

The pop-up is housed inside Olive Young Hongdae Town, a 5-minute walk from Exit 8 of Hongik University Station (Line 2). The storefront is impossible to miss — a huge ENHYPEN campaign photo covers the window, and the whole space is lit in millennial pink. Once you step inside, it's styled like a beauty salon, which sets the tone for what's actually happening: this isn't just a merch stand.

The experience is built around a three-mission challenge that nets you a free Olio No-Glue lash sample pack. Mission one is a product education station where staff walk you through the brand's new No-Glue Pulse Lash formula — you can handle the testers and, if you're game, actually try applying a lash yourself. (The blogger noted she'd never applied false lashes before and staff talked her through it step-by-step; the lashes come pre-bonded, so it's genuinely beginner-friendly.) Mission two is a photo moment at the pop-up photo zone; snap a pic and tag Olio on Instagram to get a printed copy. Mission three is a timed 5-second game where you either apply a lash or hold a lash prop to your eye — it's playful, not gatekeeping.

Beyond the missions, the pop-up runs special 1-on-1 makeup sessions with a professional makeup artist every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — you book on-site after a same-day purchase. The blogger emphasized this is a genuine makeup moment using Olio's full product range, not a quick touch-up. If you're visiting on a weekend, this is the experience to prioritize.

On the merch side, anyone buying Olio products during the pop-up window gets a hand mirror and reusable tote bag. The blogger also noted Olive Young's October sale pricing is running alongside the pop-up, so product discounts are solid. Follow Olio's Instagram and add their KakaoTalk for a free tweezer.

The pop-up runs through October 31, noon to 9 PM daily. It's walk-in only — no reservation needed. Go early on weekends if you want to catch the makeup artist sessions without a long queue; the blogger's experience felt unhurried, but word-of-mouth is spreading fast. If you're in Hongdae for shopping or cafés, this is a 30-minute detour that actually delivers on photo ops, product education, and free samples.
