DAILY:DIRECTION's second single MONKEY MODE arrives July 13. The title track is DOWN WITH IT.
The six-member ODDWAVE group—Jang Yun-seok, Lim Ji-hwan, Kim Ju-hyung, Lee Won-woo, E-VAN, and EN KIM—started the rollout June 22 and 23 on official SNS. A logo trailer and scheduler dropped across those two days. The June 22 image featured a baby monkey with the text "Hack complete," positioning the monkey as something that breached the group's phone. By June 23, a logo trailer showed that same monkey striking cymbals while surrounding characters warped and collapsed into what the trailer called lumps returning to the ground. The scheduler paired monkey graphics with Y2K visuals.
A short-form video also surfaced with member Won-woo (이원우) transforming into an unidentified entity inside a practice room. The ending flipped the narrative.
ODDWAVE framed the single's concept as visualizing "a state where everything loses form and returns to primordial mass"—the MONKEY MODE title channels exactly that.
